 Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al MaktoumThe Crown Prince of Dubai - Chairman of Dubai Sports CouncilThe future goals to be obtained from the establishment of Dubai Sports Council are obviously decided in the resolution No. 15 issued in 2005 by H.H. Mohammed Bin Rsahid Al-Maktoum Vice President of UAE Prime Minister & Ruler of Dubai. The goals include development of sport activities in Dubai, creation of full sport atmosphere that fulfills society requirements & opening doors to the youths to promote their sports / cultural talents along with guiding these talents for the sake of achieving tangible results in the local & regional championships.In this context, the Council is requested to prepare strategy through which Dubai Clubs be able to compete with the other local / regional / international clubs.Dubai Sports Council, just like other institutions located in Dubai, carries out its activities according to the regulations / instructions stipulated to attain the establishment goals in such way that the Council be able to contribute with others for the process of development / prosperity taking place in Dubai.Thus, Dubai Sports Council is considered as Sport Corporation that enjoys rights & fulfills duties & obligations.The Council has its own powers as decided in the Executive Council Resolution stipulating the establishment of the council. Anyway, I dislike the use of the term "Powers" as it does not match the sports objectives – which are – full of noble competition atmosphere which encourages all parties to work together in order to attain the promising objectives.In this respect all the concerned parties should work together to attain full cooperation & sincerity, taking into consideration the institutional principles which categorize the role(s) to be played by each party; whether in sport, cultural, social or economic field.Click Here to View Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Gallery
