As part of the efforts exerted by DSC to provide support and promotion for the World Swimming Championships – to be hosted by Dubai from 15th to 19th Dec. 2010 – the Council's Corner in Mudhish World is decided to host twice weekly (Thursday & Friday) "the Turtle Ehmisa" – the mascot of the World Swimming Championships.
 Ehmisa has been selected as mascot for the Championships in a great ceremony attended by several sports leaders of UAE and representatives of the International Swimming Federation.
The Corner also confirms the distinctive & pioneer role presented by DSC in Mudhish World.
Ehmisa attracted several children to practice many sports activities such as Tennis & football. Children took memorial photos with the Ehmisa.
The presence of Ehmisa in the Corner is a unique opportunity to promote for World Swimming Championships as the Corner is simultaneously visited by tourists from various countries. The tourists appreciated the various activities of the Corner and wished to visit Dubai during the period of the World Championships in order to watch the world event.   
It is worth-mentioning that Ehmisa will remain in DSC’s Corner till 7th Aug.
The Corner is one of the annual initiatives for DSC.  The Corner acquires a great success as it includes full sports & social programs / allows visitors to practice various sports activities without fees (such as football, badminton, table tennis & basketball).
The Corner also hosted group of UAE international players from various sports games and awarded them since they presented skillful shows / taught juniors how to acquire skills / informed visitors about the importance of sports practice and about the methods to be followed for attaining excellence & representing the UAE National Team.
The Corner prepared an amphitheater with 400 seats to show the World Cup matches on a giant screen with out fees. The matches were shown in coordination with the Organizing Committee for Modhish World. The matter was highly appreciated by visitors who watched the matches with full excitements, taking into consideration that the Council held competitive & wonderful activities between the two halves of matches.
